About Us
- Dunklin Fire Rescue was founded by volunteers in 1968 to meet the growing need of fire protection in the Southern area of Greenville County.
- We are a part time and volunteer combination department, and still rely heavily on our volunteers.
- Our Stations are staffed Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm. We recently implemented 24 hour staffing on Saturday's and Sunday's.
- Our district covers 44.24 square miles and serves approximately 4,000 residents.
- Comprised of around 28 volunteers, we operate 8 different apparatus. Several of our members are employed as full time emergency personnel in addition to volunteering with us.
- We are neighbored by Canebrake Fire Department, Hickory Tavern Fire Department, Friendship Fire Department, and South Greenville Fire Department.
Training
DFRD members train at least twice a month, covering a multitude of tasks and drills that require constant familiarization
